KATE BLOY

M.Ed.

Counselling Psychology

Kate founded Therapeutic Alliance in 2015. She is our CEO, and an experienced therapist who works from an attachment-based perspective to foster opportunities for self-discovery and self-actualization. She specializes in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, EMDR trauma therapy, couples’ therapy, issues of adolescence, addictions and psycho-spiritual healing.

Kate has studied and worked extensively with a variety of plants, fungi and compounds. She has received certifications from renowned educational programs such as: the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS), Fluence, Mount Tam Integration, and is currently studying with the Grof Legacy Training program.

NANCY EDMOND

M.A.

Clinical Psychology

Nancy is a seasoned therapist who considers it a privilege to work in partnership with clients; empowering them with an authentic approach that is both gentle and challenging.

Nancy has a strong foundation in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and as a trained EMDR therapist is finding EMDR to be a valuable and exciting addition to her clinical approach.

Nancy brings a client-centred approach to her work with many populations, across many areas where they are feeling stuck. Her areas of expertise include anxiety (including trauma, PTSD, OCD, panic), depression, grief and loss, life transitions, workplace stress; all within an inclusive, culturally sensitive and LGBTQ+ positive framework.

CHUCK GROENING

Social Work

Chuck has worked for over 40 years in the social service world. As a front line worker, a therapist and as an instructor with both the University of Manitoba and Red River College.

Chuck has worked with a wide range of issues from domestic violence, spirituality, relationships, trauma and self care. As a private instructor, he has developed course materials and training for front line staff as well as consultation work and group work. Feel free to call or text for an appointment

SALEHA ALSHEHRI

Psychotherapist, CCC

Saleha started working with Therapeutic Alliance in 2022. She is a Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC) who works from an integrated therapeutic approach including CBT, Narrative, and Psychodynamic. She works with adults and young adults helping them to honour their stories and help them through different mental and family issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, and stress. She also works with immigrant and newcomers and provides a culturally sensitive therapeutic approach.

LORRAINE COOK

M.A. Psychology

Lorraine has over 20 years of experience working with adults, teens, and children. She was practicing in Hong Kong when Covid prompted a move back to Canada, where she joined Therapeutic Alliance to continue her work in the city where she was born.

Lorraine brings a client-centred approach to various therapy modalities including CBT and ACT. She joins her clients on a journey to understanding and healing. to find ways to move forward.

Lorraine works with clients with a variety of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma; parenting challenges, grief and loss, thriving with ADHD, etc.
